Simply Brilliant - London 2011

London was great. Seriously. It was classy, sophisticated, beautiful (even when it rains), inviting, cultured, creative, wise, sacred, busy, and most of all BRILLIANT!

I spent 5 days visiting with friends, seeing sights, and people watching... lots and lots of people watching. I was impressed with the public transportation, in awe of the architecture, and delighted with the diversity. It definitely made me miss living in a big city.

Anyway, here are some pictures from my adventure. It was definitely difficult to narrow it down to 30, but I did.

Dominoes

After a crazy and beautiful weekend of wedding celebrations (don't worry it wasn't my wedding), it was good to wind down with a simple game of dominoes.

Sadly, I lost. :(

I also enjoyed a little dinner with the fam!

New Passion: F-stops

Taking a picture at night is slowly becoming my favorite thing to do with my new 50mm lens. It is so fun to see what you can get by changing the lighting, holding the shutter open a tad longer, and knowing how to frame shadows in a shot. I am still baffled by what my camera can do.

The other night Montana and I jumped in his car, high-tailed-it to the pier and busted out our cameras. This is what I ended up with:

Photography is definitely becoming a new passion and I am excited to see what the future holds.

Bluffs

Went to the Butterfly Reserve the other day on a photo adventure with Kelsey Wolff. Good times, good company, but sadly no butterflies. With our cameras in hand, we headed out along the bluffs and captured some really cool pictures. Check it.
